The Parliamentary Day celebration is always celebrated in La-Vogue International Schools in commemoration of Nigeria Independence. The celebration is used as an avenue to enlighten the students/pupils to be good citizens, encouraged them to practice good politics as well as to practice good leadership.
During the celebration students are elected as Senate President, Deputy Senate president, Speaker and Deputy Speaker into the Student Parliament. The Students are allowed to deliberate on issues as it relates to the school when elected.
This year’s celebration was held on Friday 29 September 2017. It was a colourful experience, various students vied for the Senate and Speaker positions. It was a clash of the Titians as Aspirants delivered their Manifesto. It was a real and remarkable experience. Delegates from each class were accredited for the electioneering process.
At the end of the election processes, Miss Abba Divine emerged as the Senate President and Miss Olawolu Ayodeji as Deputy Senate President while Miss Abbas Ruqayyah emerged as the Speaker and Master Okpetu Emmanuel as Deputy Speaker.
